I don’t know about you, but sometimes I dread science experiments…
My girls love the hands-on nature of science! They eagerly anticipate experiments. If I don’t plan them, they come up with their own.
Super creative, super messy, and sometimes lacking in safety!

BookShark Science Level D is for ages 8-ll. BookShark offers several levels, so you can find the right fit for your children.
This is the perfect age range for my girls to do science together this year.
BookShark Science is four days a week. The fourth day is always a hands-on experiment day!
Your children will quickly catch on to this pattern and anticipate the fourth day! If you forget, they’ll likely remind you, just like mine.

Our first experiment day took more than one day. Not because it was hard, but because we were having so much fun making models of the butterfly lifecycle.
RJ’s butterfly was very detailed. She is an expert when it comes to Monarchs.

In the first three weeks, we used:
- clay
- toothpicks
- marbles
- tweezers
- yarn
- plaster of Paris
- ping pong ball
- pipe cleaners
It’s such a relief to know all the supplies are ready and waiting in the box! Sure, we have a few of these items in our home, but not all.
We are able to do each experiment without running to the store for missing supplies or worse –just skipping it.
